PHOENIX THE HORSE ~ 2008

Phoenix is a little nervy & suspicious of me, which I feel he would be like with strangers in general. I make sure I reassure him that I’m here for his benefit & that this is his opportunity to tell me anything he wants to.

Yes he is wary of new people, although he is getting much better about it and beginning to look to people as friends.

He’s showing me the image of a lady with quite dark hair, which is long (below shoulder level) & looks to be wavy (like she’s had it in a plait & its left waves). She has a round face with a pale complexion, is smiley & has a curvy figure.

That’s me!

I keep seeing a calendar on a wall with large black numbers on it with red ones on certain dates such as Bank Holidays. Someone seems to be referring to it as if they are counting the days or weeks until something happens.

Realised I think what it is. It is a year on the 6th sept since I got him; I have been talking about that a bit.

I’m told that he is, ‘Quite strong minded & strong willed.’ It’s being said that, ‘As he gets older & his confidence increases in matters, this side of him will come out more.’ With this an image is given to me of him standing with his head held proud.

He does stand like this and looks stunning!

He feels like he is a bit of a cheeky character & one for pulling funny faces & showing his teeth!

Very definitely right!  He is getting cheekier, but in a nice fun way rather than naughty. He sticks his head on the side and plays with his tongue and shows his teeth.  I can’t help but laugh at him when he does it so he does it more! He has also started picking up things and chewing them, usually with one eye on me to make sure I’m not watching, then drops them and looks innocent!

I’m also feeling that he would benefit from hands-on work on his sides, such as the Tellington Touch massage movement. Not only would it benefit him getting used to touch & sensation on his sides but it would also give him the ‘quality time’ with you that he requested.

About 3 weeks ago I got a physio/massage lady out to him.  He LOVED it and since then I have been massaging him most days - paying main attention to the front of his chest and along his sides and under belly.  He seems to really enjoy this and it relaxes him.

Phoenix speaks of there having been some, ‘Ointment’ applied to him.

He is constantly giving himself bumps and cuts and grazes and seems to be continually getting Sudacrem on them!

I am being shown what looks like a hair swirl or whorl.

He has a few.

He’s telling me that someone has been, ‘Quite callous about him’ in the past. He goes on to say that, ‘They took pleasure from his displeasure.’ He says that, ‘It was an issue of greed’ & that it was ‘Psychological rather than Physical.’
Phoenix says that, ‘The past has affected his disposition.’

I have been looking into his past and have realised that what I had been told about his past was false.  The person I got him from started to try to break him, realised they couldn’t and he was sold on to me for a lot more money that they got him for. Also found out he was at a sales twice in his first 3 years.

I keep being shown that he has been tapped along his body with what looks like a long cane walking stick. What the reason for this is unclear but Phoenix tells me that, ‘It alarmed him.’
It seems that it was an older man that did this & I feel he may therefore be more wary of men because of it.

I also found out his breeder was an old Yorkshire man, I can imagine him being leant on one of those old walking sticks and using it to move horses round.

He shows me rosettes when asked what makes him happy & I feel in the future he will get a collection of them!

He has been to 2 shows and has got 2 rosettes!
